How it works

From question to finished work.

Artemii is a chat you can build in. Here is what happens from the moment you sign in.

  1. Sign in with Mayfair ID

Use your existing Mayfair ID. There is no separate password for Artemii, and your plan and allowance come with your account.

  2. Ask

Write a question, paste text, or attach a text, code or data file. Choose Arlo, Lucian, Orion or Curzon, or leave it on Arlo. Answers stream in as they are written, and you can stop one at any time. You can also talk to it in a voice call.

  3. Keep what it makes

When you ask for something you will keep, edit or run, it opens as an artifact in a tab beside the chat: documents, web pages, designs, code, spreadsheets and diagrams. Ask for changes and it saves a new version each time; you can open any earlier one.

  4. Organise in projects

A project holds chats, files and instructions together. The AI reads the instructions and files in every chat of the project.

  5. Let it look things up and act, if you allow it

With web search on, the AI can search the web and cite sources. With connectors and Mayfair app tools it can read from and act in your services. Anything that changes something asks you first, and you set what each service may do on the permissions screen.

  6. Remember, if you want it to

Artemii can remember useful facts, and your Mayfair apps share the same memory. You can read it, edit it, delete it, or turn it off. Incognito chats never touch it.

  7. Share a link

Share a chat or one artifact as a read-only link that anyone with it can open without signing in. You can revoke a link at any time.

On demand

The AI sleeps when idle, and wakes when you ask.

Artemii runs on GPU servers that cost money by the minute. To keep costs down, they switch off when nobody is using them.

If you send a message while the AI is resting, you will see it getting ready. It starts the machine, loads the software, and then answers on its own, with no need to retry. That first message after a quiet period can take a few minutes. After that, answers are quick. Pictures work the same way, on their own separate machine.

Getting the AI ready

You will see the progress as it happens:

Usage

Simple percentages, not token counts.

Your plan sets a daily and a weekly allowance. Artemii shows how much of each you have used, as a percentage.

  • The daily allowance resets at 00:00 UTC
  • The weekly allowance resets on Monday at 00:00 UTC
  • A reply that is already running is allowed to finish if it crosses 100%
  • If you reach a limit, the app tells you which one and when it resets

Where it runs

Artemii is self-hosted. It runs on rented GPU servers that Mayfair controls, behind Mayfair's own gateway, and your chats are stored in Mayfair's own database. Read the details on the security and trust page.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Do I need a new account?
No. You sign in with your Mayfair ID.
Why did my first message take a while?
The AI switches off when idle to keep costs down. Your first message after a quiet period wakes it, which can take a few minutes. You will see the progress and the answer arrives on its own.
Can I upload PDFs or Word files?
Not yet. You can attach text, code, CSV and similar text files. For a PDF, paste the text or save it as a text file.
