Privacy and control

You decide what it can see and do.

Artemii is built so that the person using it is in charge: of what it remembers, what it can connect to, and what it can change.

Incognito

A chat that is not kept.

Turn on incognito for a conversation you do not want kept. It is held apart from everything else.

  • Not listed in your history or search, and not in your export
  • Reads and writes no memory, and the "remember" tool is not offered
  • No activity log entries
  • No connected services unless you explicitly opt in
  • Cannot be shared or put in a project
  • Deleted when you delete it. Any left over are deleted within 24 hours

Honest detail: an incognito chat is stored on the server for as long as it lasts, because streaming answers and previews need it. It is then hard-deleted. Usage counts and anonymous safety totals still apply.

Memory

See it. Edit it. Delete it. Switch it off.

Artemii keeps one memory per account, shared with your Mayfair apps. Every entry says where it came from.

  • What is stored: short text notes (up to 500 characters each), tagged with the kind of note (fact, preference, project or person), the app that wrote it and how it got there (you, the AI, automatic learning or an app)
  • The memory screen lists everything, even entries from an app you have since switched off
  • Add, edit, delete one, delete all, or export as a file
  • A master switch, a switch for automatic learning, and a switch for each Mayfair app (off, read, or read and write)
  • Incognito chats read and write no memory
  • Automatic learning needs a chat of at least four messages, makes one extra small model call and is skipped when the AI has read outside content
  • On an organisation plan, administrators can write company knowledge that is added to everyone's prompts. It belongs to the organisation, not to you
  • A filter refuses payment cards, bank details, government IDs, passwords and API keys, and health, immigration, criminal record, abuse, self-harm, sexual, caste and date-of-birth details
  • At most 200 short entries per person, with duplicates merged

Permissions

The permissions screen.

Every connected service, Mayfair app and tool has a level, and you can set one for a single tool too. Below the levels is an activity log of what the AI did on your behalf.

OffBlocked and hidden
ReadOnly things that read run; changes are blocked
AskReads run; changes ask you first (the default)
AllowRuns without asking, except after outside content was read
  • The most specific setting wins: a tool beats its service, which beats the default
  • Web search and file search have their own switches
  • Administrators can set a ceiling for an organisation, and people cannot choose above it
  • Activity entries are shown to you, with secrets redacted, and are kept for 90 days. Administrators see counts and settings, not the content of your chats

Revoke everything

One action to stop it all.

Disconnect

Disconnects every connected service and asks each one to revoke its access.

Switch off

Sets every permission to off and cancels any action waiting for your approval.

Your choice on memory

Memory is kept unless you choose to forget it as well.

Your data

Take it with you, or delete it.

Export

Download everything you own as a file: chats, projects, files, artifacts, memory, settings, permissions and activity. Incognito chats are not included.

Delete

Delete all your chats, projects, files, artifacts, pictures, memory, share links, assistants and settings, and disconnect your services. You are asked to confirm first.

What stays

A few records stay: your people record, usage records, the abuse-protection record (including a salted hash of your network address), developer API usage totals, today's cap counters and anonymous counters. See exactly what.

Your messages

Stored exactly as sent.

Your messages are stored exactly as you send them: no trimming, no rewriting and no summarising, so an old chat shows what you wrote. Artemii's replies are stored as the visible text it wrote, apart from its hidden reasoning and a few tidy-ups such as blank lines before the first word. A message over the length limit is refused rather than cut.

Storage

Counted against your Mayfair account.

One pooled allowance

When pooled storage is enabled for your account, Artemii storage counts against your Mayfair account storage allowance. It is one pool shared across your Mayfair apps.

You can always get out

Even when the allowance is full, reading, downloading, exporting and deleting always work. A reply already running finishes.

Nothing is deleted for you

Nothing is deleted automatically to make room. When you are full, new saves are refused until you free space or the allowance changes.

More in Data retention and deletion.

Sharing

Links you can take back.

Share a chat or one artifact as a read-only link. Anyone with the link can read it, so only send it to people you trust. Revoke it at any time and it stops working. You can list your share links in Settings.

Your Mayfair ID

Your account, your allowance.

You sign in with Mayfair ID, and your plan and allowance come from it. Your chats, memory and files are stored in Mayfair's own database against that account. See Plans and usage and Security and trust.
