Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of Artemii, the AI assistant service and website provided by Mayfair ("Mayfair", "we", "us"). By signing in or using the service you agree to them. If you use Artemii for an organisation, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.
1. The service
Artemii lets you chat with AI models, create documents, web pages, designs, code and spreadsheets, make pictures, and organise your work in projects. It can also work with your Mayfair apps and with services you connect. Some features depend on your plan, your allowance and whether they are switched on for your account (for example web search, image generation and connectors). We may change, add or remove features. Features marked "coming soon" are not available yet and are not promised for any date.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Mayfair ID. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
2A. Who can use Artemii
- General use: 16 or over. Artemii is not intended for children under 16. Do not use it if you are under 16.
- Direct mode: 18 or over, with your consent. Direct mode is an optional setting that makes Artemii more candid and blunt. It is for adults only. To turn it on you must confirm that you are 18 or over and accept the Direct mode terms, and it is unavailable if Mayfair ID marks your account as under 18, if your plan or organisation does not allow it, or if you withdraw your acceptance. It changes the tone of answers, not the safety limits. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
3. Plans and allowances
Use of Artemii is limited by daily and weekly allowances set by your plan. We may change plans, allowances and prices with reasonable notice. Plans are not yet on sale; where a plan is not in place, access may be unavailable.
4. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may limit, suspend or end access if you break these terms or that policy, or to protect the service or other people.
5. Your content
You keep the rights you have in what you put in (your "input") and in what you ask the AI to produce for you (its "output"), as between you and Mayfair. You give Mayfair permission to store, process and display your input and output only as needed to run the service for you, keep it secure, and meet our legal duties. You are responsible for your input and for making sure you may use it.
AI output can be similar for different users and may not be unique. We do not promise that output is free of third-party rights.
6. AI can be wrong
Artemii generates text using statistical models. It can be inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or biased. It is not professional advice. Check anything important before you rely on it, especially legal, medical, financial or safety matters.
7. Sharing
If you create a share link, anyone with the link can view what you shared until you revoke it. You are responsible for what you choose to share.
8. Third-party tools and connected services
When web tools are on, the AI may search the web, read web pages and query public registers. Those sources are outside our control and their content is not ours. If you connect a service, or allow a Mayfair app to give Artemii tools, you decide what Artemii may do there, and you are responsible for what you allow. Actions that change something ask you first unless you tell Artemii otherwise. The service's own terms apply to your use of it.
8A. Developers
If you use the Artemii API, an embedded assistant or a service key, you must keep keys secret, use them only for the app they were issued for, and follow the developer documentation. We may limit or revoke a key at any time.
9. Our rights
Mayfair owns the Artemii service, website, software and brand, subject to the open-source licences described in Open-source licences & model notices. These terms do not give you ownership of them.
10. Availability
We aim to keep Artemii available but do not guarantee it. The AI runs on machines that are switched on when needed, so replies can be delayed while it starts. We may carry out maintenance or change the service at any time.
11. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, Mayfair is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss from relying on AI output, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, to a reasonable amount set by law). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
12. Ending
You can stop using Artemii at any time and delete your data in Settings. A few records are kept after you delete everything; see Data retention and deletion. We may suspend or end your access as set out above. Clauses that by their nature should continue will continue.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will take reasonable steps to tell you. Continuing to use Artemii after a change means you accept it.
14. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you other rights. Contact: hello@mayfairmail.com.
